practicing our german tomorrow

it seems that the day my mom has her first trip across the ocean has finally arrived.  we leave for germany and austria tomorrow!!!  may or may not post while there (but prob not since i'll just have my phone, and let's be honest, that's going to be a pain to type on)

first order of business?  eat chocolate torte and get mom a dirndl :)

it's been entirely too long since i've blogged.  almost 3 months, which saddens me.  i never got the chance to sit down and write about korea, but hopefully i will at some point.  work hours were still crazy when i got back and i've been so tired.  the gist of it is:  spent time with my awesome host and friend, jeff, partied in the city, hiked in isolation, and ate a ton of amazing food.  the trip was great and i have a ton to say about it.  for now, however, it's time for some other news (that you already know about)....

my beautiful, wonderful mom is going on her first big international trip in just 10 days!!!!  we're going to germany and austria for her first excursion.  on the agenda:  eating delicious food (schnitzel, sausage, sauerkraut, chocolate cake, baby chickens, possibly some ox...yes you read that right, mom!), touring amazing castles, walking the cities, making mom practice her german on locals, and enjoying the scenery.  i'm so excited to share one of the things i am most passionate about with my mom, and i am going to be incredibly distracted waiting for the next 10 days to go by.

should probably do some laundry so i have clothes for the trip...
